Motorcyclist killed in San Jose auto accident

KYVU reports that a man was killed in a San Jose motorcycle accident. The San Jose motorcycle accident happened as the man was heading west on Bernal Way. The man crashed into a parked car, and the impact made him fly off the motorcycle and land under the car.

San Jose Firefighters were the first responders on the scene, and they pulled the 47-year-old man out from under the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the San Jose motorcycle accident. Police are investigating if mechanical failure played a role in the San Jose motorcycle accident.

Child killed in Modesto car accident

The Modesto Bee reports that an 11-year-old boy was killed in a Modesto car accident on West Orangeburg Avenue.

According to police, it appears the two-vehicle Modesto car accident happened when a BMW spun out of control and was broadsided by a pickup truck. The truck struck the passenger side of the car and came 3 feet into the vehicle, trapping the boy in the car.

Police performed CPR on the child once he was extracted from the vehicle, but his injuries were too severe for him to recover. The child was riding with an extended family member at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car and another child sustained minor injuries.

Many injured in San Jose bus accident

The San Jose Mercury News reports that a San Jose bus rear-ended a vehicle, sending six people to the hospital. The San Jose auto accident happened at the intersection of West San Carlos Street and South Almaden Boulevard.

A spokesperson for the Santa Clara Valley transportation Authority said six passengers on the bus were taken to hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported by the occupants of the vehicle.

The cause of the San Jose auto accident is unknown. The bus driver will be tested for drugs and alcohol in accordance with the VTA policy.
