Two children injured in Fresno drunk driving accident

KFSN-TV reports that a white pickup truck struck a van carrying four people in north Fresno. The van slipped onto its side from the impact of the Fresno auto accident. According to Fresno police, the driver of the truck had been drinking and was traveling more than 50 mph at the time of the Fresno auto accident.

Two children were transported to the hospital, but no serious injuries were involved in the drunk driving accident. The driver of the truck was arrested for driving under the influence.

Woman killed in Modesto auto accident

The Merced Sun-Star reports that a woman was killed in a Modesto auto accident. The fatal accident happened on Highway 99. The 21-year-old victim was driving at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle veered off the shoulder, traveled down an embankment and struck a roadway sign before overturning several times. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. An Atwater passenger was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Investigators are looking into whether alcohol played a factor in the Modesto auto accident.

Children injured in Sacramento auto accident

KCRA News 3 reports that four children were injured in a Sacramento auto accident. The Sacramento auto accident happened at the intersection of 44th Street and Perry Avenue.

According to police the driver was distracted by one of the children in the vehicle, which may have been the cause of the accident. The vehicle crashed into a telephone pole. Five people were injured in the Sacramento auto accident, including four children under the age of 5.

The car was traveling at a rate of 40 mph when the Sacramento auto accident happened. It is unknown whether the driver was the parent of all the children in the vehicle.

Several injured in San Francisco auto accident

The San Francisco Gate reports that several people were injured in a San Francisco auto accident Tuesday afternoon. The San Francisco auto accident involved a street car, a bus, and a private vehicle.

Around 4:40 p.m. the street car struck a bus which was traveling westbound on Market Street, the bus then rear-ended a car.

Five people were transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries following the San Francisco auto accident. Seven other people were treated and released at the scene. The accident is under investigation, but preliminary results indicate that faulty brakes on the street car may be to blame.

Could this accident have been a result of operator error? Or maybe poor maintenance standards are to blame.
