Several suffer minor injuries in San Francisco fire accident

A two alarm fire in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood has left nine people displaced, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

A spokesman from the fire department says the blaze started around 9:40 pm. The fire began in the basement area of a three-unit building.

One resident suffered minor injuries related to smoke inhalation in the California fire accident. Six adults and three children were left homeless, but all escaped without San Francisco fire and burn injuries.

Fire fighters were able to prevent the San Francisco fire accident from spreading to adjacent buildings. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Modesto auto accident stops traffic

The Modesto Bee reported that three cars and a bus were involved in a California auto accident early Friday morning.

Police reported that a woman driving a Toyota Rav 4 rear-ended a stopped vehicle, causing the Modesto auto accident. Reports state that a bus was stopped in the right lane of a two lane road with a bus and a sedan beside it.

The woman was driving the Rav 4 at about 40 mph when she rear-ended the sedan which then pushed the pick-up truck into the bus.

The Modesto car accident happened at 8:00am and blocked traffic for approximately an hour.

One killed in Sacramento motorcycle accident

The Sacramento Bee reported that one man was killed in a Sacramento motorcycle accident.

The motorcyclist was headed north on Bader Road when he hit an airport shuttle van that had just pulled out of a driveway. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene of the California motorcycle accident.

The driver of the shuttle van was not injured, although a van passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Sacramento motorcycle accident is still under investigation.

Widow files Modesto wrongful death suit

The Modesto Bee reported that a Modesto wrongful death suit has been filed against the Old Fisherman’s Club, a shooting range in California.

The widow of a man shot at the club filed the Modesto wrongful death lawsuit against the club, the landlord, and the man she says shot her husband.

She is asking for $25,000 in the California wrongful death lawsuit.

The coroners’ office ruled the death accidental, but the investigation remains open. No one has been arrested yet.

Firefighter suffers Sacramento burn injury

A California Fire Captain is in good condition after suffering a Sacramento burn injury while fighting a two-alarm fire, according to the Sacramento Bee.

The Captain suffered serious California burn injuries to one hand, his neck, and face.  He is now facing surgery and rehabilitation.

Three other firefighters suffered Sacramento burn injuries in the California fire accident. They were treated at a hospital and sent home the same day.

Investigators from the fire department are trying to determine how the Sacramento fire accident intensified so quickly, in hopes of preventing future fire fighter burn injuries.
