A 5-year-old California boy was killed after being struck by a bike in an Alameda motorcycle accident.
The Alameda motorcycle accident occurred when the boy ran across the street to join his sister and some friends, but was hit by the motorcycle before reaching the other side of the road. According to The Mercury News, the boy did not cross the street at a crosswalk.
The motorcyclist involved in the Alameda motorcycle accident suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police officials do not believe alcohol was a factor in the California motorcycle accident.

According to The Oakland Tribune, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is investigating a possible Alameda environmental injury after dangerous levels of hazardous organic compounds were found at a former metal plating site.
The Department of Toxic Substances Control previously found very high levels of trichloroethylene, cis-dichloroethene, trans dichloroethene and vinyl chloride in the possible Alameda environmental injury location.
One woman who has possibly been affected from the Alameda environmental injury suffers from multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and a rare blindness disease. Another woman in the area suffers from cancer, while her children suffer other ailments from their premature births.
Additional residents in the area also fear an Alameda environmental injury from breathing in the potential hazardous compounds in the air.
The Alameda environmental injury case has been under the investigation of the Department of Toxic Substances Control since June 2007 and is ongoing.

According to The Contra Costa Times, a California mother was killed in a San Francisco boating accident involving a personal watercraft and a ski boat.
The woman was killed in the San Francisco boating accident when her watercraft collided with the ski boat. The woman’s son also suffered injuries to his face in the California boating accident.
All seven people aboard the ski boat that was involved in the San Francisco boating accident were unharmed.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.

A California man is on trial for four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter for the deaths of four Sacramento drunk driving victims.
The Sacramento drunk driving victims were killed after the man drove his Jeep head-on into their vehicle at an excessive speed.
According to The Sacramento Bee, the man’s blood alcohol level was 0.16 or twice the legal limit at the time of the Sacramento drunk driving accident.
The man is currently free on bail, but if he’s charged for the deaths of the four Sacramento auto accident victims, the man could face up to 18 years in prison.

Surgery was required for a Sacramento Municipal Utility worker after two pit bull terriers attacked him.
The Sacramento dog bite accident occurred when the worker went to an area home to collect payment or disconnect its service, when the homeowner’s dogs attacked him.
According to The Sacramento Bee, the worker suffered bite wounds to both arms and a mangled hand in the Sacramento dog bite accident.
The pit bulls involved in the Sacramento dog bite accident are in the custody of the Sacramento County Department of Animal Care and Regulation, awaiting a hearing to decide whether or not they will be destroyed.
The two dogs did not have updated rabies shots, and were not properly licensed or professionally trained.
