CBS 5 reports that one teen was killed and another seriously injured in an Alameda car accident.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Interstate Highway 580. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene of the Alameda car accident. A passenger was transported to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police are still investigating what caused the rollover Alameda car accident. The left two lanes of Highway 580 were blocked for nearly two hours following the Alameda car accident.

Police chase ends in San Jose car accident

The San Jose Mercury News reports that a police pursuit ended in a San Jose car accident involving two vehicles.

The incident started when a police officer observed a vehicle turn at a red signal, although it was prohibited. The officer turned on his lights to attempt to get the vehicle to stop, but the driver sped away.

The driver of the vehicle then ran through another light and broadsided a Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi was hit with such force in the San Jose car accident that it nearly split in two. A 15-year-old passenger was flung from the car into the street.

Six people were injured in the San Jose car accident, and the 15-year-old is in critical condition.

2 killed in Fresno car accident

The Fresno car accident happened on Golden State and Olive Avenue. A woman driving a Toyota turned left in front a semi.

Three people were inside the car at the time of the Fresno car accident. The driver is expected to recover, but the two passengers were killed in the Fresno car accident.

The driver of the truck was not injured. According to police, drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the Fresno car accident.

Reckless driving to blame for Fresno car accident
